Marie-Louise's Edit

We've asked fashion PR guru, Marie-Louise Pumfrey of @MrsMLMode, to share with us her favourite pieces from our AW20 collection.

As an Instagram for Business trainer and style blogger - and with over 25 years' experience in the fashion industry - Marie-Louise knows a thing or two about what looks good. Her own style is chic, elegant and classically French. Here she's curated her favourite pieces from our independent French fashion brands.

I’ve always felt akin with French girl style, thanks to my French grandmother who I’m named after. But now having binged on Call My Agent, the brilliant French Netflix drama, my obsession has gone next level. Google French actress Camille Cottin who plays Andréa Martel, my current girl crush, and you’ll get my drift. So when I was invited by Marie & Lola to select my five favourite pieces this autumn, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m a massive fan of this collection, and with so many classically chic, French inspired pieces, it took me a few goes to whittle down my very long list. Anyway here goes!

Sunset midi skirt in green £55

A classic French girl style is a pleated skirt and the sparkle in this piece caught my eye. Plus the stripes of gold, sage and tan make it easily paired with so many outfits - it offers great cost-per-wear potential.

Jade cardi in celadon £50

Sage green is one of my favourite hues and this cardigan is a perfect match with the skirt. Plus it can we worn with buttons down the back or opened at the front which is a clever detail.

Adele clutch in burgundy £45

On holiday in Ibiza recently I spotted an Isabel Marant tassel bag and have been searching the net for one ever since! So when I spotted this style, it was an instant YES PLEASE! Plus burgundy is a great colour for the season and literally goes with everything.

Pauline cardi in camel £57

Last year Katie Holmes sexed up the cardigan with her off the shoulder street style shot which went viral. I’ll be channelling her look with this super chic style which I like wearing open with chunky chain necklaces.

Mia bomber jacket in cream £60

I do love a bomber and this is a perfect one for evening. The gold cuff details elevate this classic and it gorgeously drapes in faux suede to give a very expensive look without breaking the bank.
