We've asked style guru, Maria of @thatgirlwiththebob to share with us her favourite pieces from the current SS20 collection. Here's how she's styling her Marie & Lola wardrobe this season...
We love Maria's curated approach to fashion - she's all about mixing boutique finds with indy brands and high street names. The London mum of two always looks at how she can add a little edge to a classic piece, and her style is effortlessly elegant and timeless. Très chic!
Melinda Maxi Dress in Red - £99
Maria says: "I absolutely adore the red Melinda maxi dress. The metallic thread is beautiful and I love the floaty feel and length. Plus the drawstring waist means I can wear it fitted or loose depending on how I’m feeling. Perfect dressed up with heels and blazer, or down with sandals or trainers and a denim jacket."
Eugenie Jumper in White - £85
Maria says: "The white Eugenie jumper is giving me all the French girl feels. The cut out back detail is exquisite and I love the puff sleeves. Plus it’s as soft as a cloud. Perfect styled with jeans or a skirt, it’s my go-to piece for a little oh-la-la whilst still feeling cosy and comfy."
Agave T-Shirt - £29
Maria says: "You can’t beat a white tee to add a bit of laid back luxe to any outfit so I was immediately drawn to the Agave tee. The gorgeous gold v-neck is stunning and the super fine knit looks and feels great. The perfect easy throw on piece whilst still looking chic and well put together - perfect for garden lounging or a video call."
Agathe skirt in Red or Navy - £55
Maria says: "The Agathe skirt is utterly beautiful with the most stunning print and metallic thread. The attention to detail is amazing: high low hem, button detailing and most importantly, it’s got pockets! I’d style it with a blazer and wedges for work and with trainers and the Eugenie knit or Agave tee for home. A good midi skirt is definitely one of the hardest working pieces in my wardrobe."
Norah Shirt - £72
Maria says: "I love the romantic beauty of the Norah broderie anglaise cotton shirt. It's the perfect chic yet boho statement piece. I’d pair it with jeans and gold jewellery - the simpler the better. Let this blouse do all the talking."
Paris Dress - £115
Maria says: "I’m always drawn to monochrome so the Paris dress immediately jumped out at me. The lace detailing is stunning and I love that it fits just under the bust, floating over my hips - such a flattering style. Perfect for spring and summer, throw a colourful blazer on top when it's cooler and pair with strappy sandals or heels to dress it up."
Aruba Maxi Dress in Navy - £85
Maria says: "The Aruba dress has the most amazing sparkle and shine, a truly happy piece, guaranteed to make you feel amazing. The yellow and navy geometric print is absolutely gorgeous and I love the flattering fit and floaty sleeves. Fab styled with some sparkly heels, but equally it looks amazing dressed down with a utility jacket."
Elise Necklace in Black - £20
Maria says: "I absolutely adore gold stacking necklaces so I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous Elise black necklace. I love the different chain styles and would style it with the Agave tee or Norah Shirt. Such a beautiful and versatile piece."
